The team at L P International Inc. the manufacturer of PowerMate stair climbing hand trucks and LiftGates have introduced two new products to assist customers working with smaller more efficient service and delivery vehicles. First – the NEW PowerMate LV-2 LiftGate!
Today, the PowerMate line of LiftGates are being used in full-sized vans all around the world. The LiftGates have been installed in vehicles produced by almost every major auto manufacturer. They include a growing number of vehicles manufactured by: Ford, GMC, Chevrolet, Dodge, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Hyundai and Isuzu, to name just a few. The numbers are only expected to increase with the introduction of the NEW PowerMate LV-2 LiftGate!
There is a growing trend for companies to move to smaller more efficient vehicles, for many reasons. Advantages of these smaller compact vehicles include: greater maneuverability in urban areas, reduced space requirements for parking, lower fuel costs, lower insurance premiums, lower business taxes/tolls, lower initial capital or operating expenditures and fit with efforts by many businesses to strive to become greener and decrease their footprint on the environment. |
In North America, the new Ford “Transit Connect” (pictured above), has led to the introduction of a new PowerMate LiftGate Product the LV-2. Offering similar functionality to the LG-3 and LG-6 PowerMate LiftGates the new LV-2 was specifically created for businesses utilizing smaller, more efficient vehicles. The LV-2 is available in both left hand and right hand versions that can be installed either at a side or rear door and come in a 250lbs / 113 kg model and a 500lbs or 227 kg “B” model.
Depending on where you are in the world, there are different manufacturers that produce and sell smaller, more efficient solutions around the world. The Citroen “Jumpy”, “Berlingo”, Fiat, Mitsubishi, Peugeot “Partner” are manufacturers internationally offering vehicles to meet the demand for this type of solution for businesses, all around the world.
The New PowerMate LV-2 LiftGate is expected to fill a niche currently not being filled in providing safety lifting solutions for one vehicle or a fleet of vehicles. It was designed for smaller more efficient vehicles and accommodates the smaller door opening size and lower ground to bed height of these vehicles.
In countries where there is already a minimum lifting law of 20 kilos (45 pounds), like CE countries in Europe, this solution has not come a moment too soon! The PowerMate LiftGates provide a mechanical lifting solution that will protect both the people using it and the product being transported.
The height and width of the door opening, the dimension from the ground to the bed of the vehicle and the approximate size and weight of what you plan to move with your LiftGate are essential in determining the appropriate PowerMate safety lifting solution for you! Further, you will need to specify if your require a cylinder attachment, for a cylindrical load such as gas bottles or a flat strap bar for square and rectangular loads such as boxes. For more information on the dimensional requirements for your LiftGate you are invited to review pages 5-8 in the FREE PowerMate LiftGate Presentation.
Regardless of the make and model of your delivery/service vehicle, the side of the road you may drive on or; whether you are looking for one LiftGate unit or enough for your entire fleet, why not Contact PowerMate today to confirm which PowerMate safety lifting solution is right for you and your business.
